The Feast of Divine Mercy is a public feast day formally established by St. John Paul 2 in May 2000.  The Divine Mercy Devotion is inspired by the experiences and writings of a Polish nun Sister Faustina who died at 33 years of age in 1938 and was canonised in April 2000. It embraces priests, religious and laity united in their commitment to live mercy in relating to their brothers and sisters, to make the mystery of Divine Mercy known , and to invoke God’s mercy for sinners

Devotions to Divine Mercy commence at 2pm in Ennis Cathedral on Sunday April 12th
