Changes to Ministry in the Friary

Published on July 11, 2017

friarsIn recent weeks, the Friars in Ireland have met in their annual three year Chapter. A t this meeting the Friars elected a new leadership team and reviewed and planned  their ministry . As a result changes take place in each local community .

Ennis says farewll and Mile Buiochas to two Friars who have only been with us for three years but in that time  gave  generously  of their time to so many people and were always around to welcome people to the Friary. Bro. Isidore the Guardian here in Ennis is moving to Killiney Dublin to become the Guardian of the community in Dún Mhuire.  Fr Jim Hasson moves to Rossnowlagh  Co. Donegal where he becomes Vicar of the community.

Both friars have given great service to the Friary and parish in the three years they have been in Ennis . Their presence was very visible in the parish . We wish them well in their new appointments.

In the coming weeks, we look forward to  welcoming  Fr Joe MacMahon as he returns to Ennis as the new Guardian , Bro Philip Lane and Fr Gearóid Ó’Conaire.
