DESCRIPTION:15th June – World Elder Abuse Awareness Day: The United Nations General Assembly has designated the 15th June annually as World Elder Abuse Awareness Day. It is well documented that there will be a significant growth in the population of older persons between 2015-2030 and with this increase comes the increase and risk of abuse. The abuse of older people is an increasing and serious problem\, so it is vital to raise awareness of it in an effort to prevent it. Raising awareness of what constitutes abuse and ensuring that people know how to report any concerns they have is important in this regard. This day focuses our attention on the need for all of us\, to take responsibility in preventing elder abuse for those with whom we work to care for and those within our community.\nThe HSE Safeguarding & Protection Teams work directly with those who find themselves vulnerable and who are at risk of abuse. Accredited training will be provided to support your career. \nThe role involves all areas of Van driving and procedures for the Society of St. Vincent de Paul Ennis Shops and services • Support SVP Conferences by delivering essential household items to people in need • Support Vincent’s shops by collecting and delivering clothing and furniture. Ensure that all furniture is safely secured in vehicles and all parts are intact • Support Vincent’s shops by assisting with furniture assembly & shop displays and removing (to the dump) any rubbish or unsalable furnishings • Ensure textile clothing banks are emptied with sufficient regularity • Ensuring recycling stock is prepared for collection • Assist recycling van drivers with loading/unloading of stock.  •Follow agreed SVP procedures on stock management throughout the sales floor and stockroom\, whilst maintaining compliance with Health & Safety regulations Van standards: • Maintain a high standard of customer service.  All other duties as required. \nFull Clean Driving Licence required for this position.
