SUMMARY:From A Distance Free Concerts
DESCRIPTION:From A Distance is a community initiative encouraging people to recommence socializing safely after lockdown.\nThese 30-40 minute bi-weekly concerts will allow people to see some familiar faces From A Distance\nwhile also enjoying some musical treats from local talents such as Mike Hanrahan\, Monica Morgan Kearney\,\nJoan Hanrahan and friends\, and many more to be announced. \nThese concerts will take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 2pm\, free of charge\, for the month of August\nin SS Peter and Paul Cathedral Ennis.\nThe Civil Defence will be present to ensure all guidelines are followed and safety measures are in place. \nCocooning has seen many vulnerable members of our society isolated from friends\, family for a substantial length of time.\nNow that lockdown is over\, these concerts aspire to create a safe welcoming environment to bridge the fears\, worries\,\nand doubts people may have about getting out again to enjoy live music and entertainment. \nDr. Maire Finn has spoken about the struggles people are experiencing in physical\nand mental health as the world settles into it’s “new normal”. \nBishop Willie Walsh has said\, “I found the lockdown relatively easy.\nBut now that things are reopening and our towns are getting busier\, it feels more challenging in ways”. \nBishop Willie Walsh and Dr. Maire Finn are available for interview.\nPlease contact Fiona Walsh on 087 688 6378 to make interview arrangements. \nFrom A Distance will commence on Tuesday 4th August 2020 with concerts set to take place\nevery Tuesday and Thursday at 2pm in SS Peter and Paul Cathedral Ennis.\nTickets are limited\, free of charge and can be obtained from the Ennis Parish Office on 065 68 682 4043\nor on Eventbrite (https://www.eventbrite.ie/e/from-a-distance-live-at-the-cathedral-tickets-114748876980). \n  \n  \n
