Please note this event is open to all bereaved parents\, regardless of the age of their child or the circumstances of their death. If you have attended a previous Bereavement Information Evening\, we would encourage you to come again because each time you will hear something that will help you along the difficult and challenging journey of grief. There will also be time after the talk to interact with other bereaved parents.  This information evening is provided free of charge to parents. The first 2km of this walk is are uphill but the remaining 5km is downhill or flat\, finishing at the Piper’s Inn for the customary tea and scones.\nThese walks are primarily for over 50’s but all are welcome.\nAll walks are free with an optional donation which goes towards the future maintenance of both the East and Mid Clare Ways.\nPlease wear suitable footwear and clothing.\nDogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead.

DESCRIPTION:15th June – World Elder Abuse Awareness Day: The United Nations General Assembly has designated the 15th June annually as World Elder Abuse Awareness Day. It is well documented that there will be a significant growth in the population of older persons between 2015-2030 and with this increase comes the increase and risk of abuse. The abuse of older people is an increasing and serious problem\, so it is vital to raise awareness of it in an effort to prevent it. Raising awareness of what constitutes abuse and ensuring that people know how to report any concerns they have is important in this regard. This day focuses our attention on the need for all of us\, to take responsibility in preventing elder abuse for those with whom we work to care for and those within our community.\nThe HSE Safeguarding & Protection Teams work directly with those who find themselves vulnerable and who are at risk of abuse. DESCRIPTION:CODE stands for ‘Community Oriented Diabetes Education’. Programmes are run in Ennis by Pauline Dunne Senior Dietitian with Diabetes Ireland\, and are free to attend. The next CODE programme in Ennis will start on Thursday 13th June 2019. It runs over 3 weeks\, and each session lasts 2 – 2 ½ hours.
