The Support Group’s aim is to link people with Parkinson’s, their carer’s, relatives, friends and interested health and care professionals. It offers a forum for discussion, support and information and to raise awareness locally about Parkinson’s and problems associated with the condition.
These informal meetings normally include a presentation by a healthcare professional or complementary therapist, as well as an activity that assists people living with Parkinson’s such as Yoga, Dance, Physiotherapy or Tai Chi.
Mags Richardson who is Parkinson’s Disease Clinical Nurse Specialist at the Midwestern Regional Hospital in Limerick will address this meeting. Her role is half hospital and half community based. The talk will be followed by a questions and answer session.
