Corpus Christi Procession

Published on June 17, 2025
Ennis has had a great tradition of holding the Corpus Christi Procession when each year the Church celebrates the presence of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. Since the 12th Century, Jesus has been honoured by this feast. The beautiful practices of Adoration, Benediction, and carrying The Blessed Sacrament in procession, evolved from this time.
On this Saturday evening after the 6.30pm Vigil Mass for the Feast of Corpus Christi, we will hold a short procession through the grounds of the Cathedral and parish Centre All are invited to participate in this act of public worship especially the children and their families who received First Holy Communion this year.
