On Sunday 9th November,  Ennis native Bro Ian Cunningham OFM was ordained a Deacon in the Chapel of the Poor Clares Monastery, Nuns Island, Galway, by Bishop Michael Duignan, Bishop of Galway and Clonfert. Bro Ian is the son of Denis and Caroline, Elm Park, Gort Road, and was professed a Franciscan Friary last September in the friary in Ennis. Bro Ian is a Member of the Fraternity in the Abbey, Galway.
