As we celebrate the Feast of St. Francis this weekend, we welcome the latest member of the Franciscan Fraternity to Ennis, Fr. Eugene Barrett OFM. Fr Eugene, a native of Clonmel, has just completed his term as guardian of the Friary in Rossnowlagh, Co. Donegal. Fr. Eugene’s parents and family, the late Tom and Kitty Barrett, lived in Ennis in the 1970’s and were very active in our Parish and in Comhaltas. We wish Fr. Eugene every blessing and happiness for his Ministry with us here in Ennis.
