The first Mass of Christmas in the Cathedral was a Mass specially for children. The Cathedral was full to capacity as people gathered to welcome the Christ child. Bishop Fintan celebrated the Vigil Mass at 9pm when the Cathedral choir and the newly formed Ennis Junior choir led the congregation with the support of traditional musicians who added to occasion.
The choir and school band of Ennis National School led the celebrations at the 10.30am Family Mass in the Cathedral on Christmas morning. Fr Iggy McCormack celebrated the midday Mass in the Cathedral and Fr Dariusz celebrated two Masses for the Polish Community, one at midnight and then at 1.15pm on Christmas Day. Out thanks to all the choirs and musicians, sacristans, altar servers, counters and collectors, readers and Eucharistic Ministers and our church caretaker Egelis for the contribution each makes to making Christmas special in the Cathedral.
