Christmas 2020 has been slightly more challenging this year with the number of people able to attend Mass being restricted. In order to accommodate as many worshippers as possible, the first Mass in the parish took place at 2pm on Christmas Eve and the last mass on Christmas night at 6.30pm. Bishop Fintan was the celebrant of the 9pm Vigil Mass in the Cathedral on Christmas Eve. Our Cathedral choir, like all choirs, was restricted this year in line with current guidance but during advent choir members were recorded individually and, with the help of technology and expertise, were able to bring the sound of Christmas music alive at the different masses.
Our sincere thanks to our stewards who volunteered to assist all those who attended the numerous masses and ensured that everyone could worship in safety.
