India Day in Clare

On Sunday 3rd September, Bishop Fintan joined with Fr Joy and the Indian Community in celebrating India Day in Clare in St Flannan’s College. On the day Indians of all faiths and traditions gathered to celebrate their culture and county.


Ascension Magnets

A fridge magnet of The Ascension scene, as portrayed behind the altar in the Cathedral, is now on sale at the Parish Office at a cost of €3 for 1 or €5 for 2. All proceeds to the Tiles for the Aisles Appeal for the Cathedral Renovations. Thank you for your ongoing support.

Cathedral Day

As work continues on the cathedral, it is interesting to note that on Monday 4th September 181 years ago, Dean Terence O’Shaughnessy celebrated the first mass in the cathedral. Congratulations to Fr Paschal Hanrahan

Ennis parishioner and Killaloe diocesan Priest, Fr Paschal Hanrahan Head Chaplain of the Irish Defence Forces, is currently serving as Chaplain with the 122nd IrishPol Batt on UNIFIL.
Today  Friday 11th August he was presented with the Peacekeepers Medal and the UNIFIL  by Lt Col Cathal Keohane OC IrishPol Batt.
