Sunday 3rd November was Cemetery Sunday in Ennis Parish. With exceptionally mild weather for this time of year, people came out in great numbers to the Columbarium in the Cathedral and Corrovorrin and Drumcliffe Cemeteries to pray and remember our beloved dead.

Fr Joy had the pleasure of welcoming Bishop Ambrose of Kottapuram diocese to Ennis on Friday, accompanied by two of his colleagues. It was also an occasion to welcome back Fr Feargus OFM, Rossnowlagh Friary, who was on a visit to Ennis. Fr Feargus served nine years in Ennis.
On World Mental Health Day the Clare Traveller Community Project, in association with other agencies, planted a tree in the grounds of the Cathedral to remember all travellers who have died by suicide. In recent weeks, a defibrillator has been installed in the cathedral grounds, on the wall of the Cathedral House, opposite the Sacristy door. Fr Tom was invited by Rev Vicky Lynch of St Columba’s Church Bindon Street to celebrate the Harvest Service with the congregation of the Drumcliffe Union of Parishes.
