Give us eyes, Lord, that will see your people as you see them, people in need of love, people who struggle with many personal problems, or people who are poor and unfree at the hands of others. Open our eyes to see others as you see them and to hear their cries for care and for friendship.  May we be people with hearts like yours, compassionate to all we meet.
