Today Friday 5th May we celebrate the feast of Blessed Edmund Rice, founder of the Christian and Presentation Brothers. 196 years ago the first two Christian Brothers arrived in Ennis. Today is a special day in the life of Ennis CBS as the newly built primary school is officially opened and blessed on this Edmund Rice Day. It is an opportunity to thank all the Brothers and their lay colleagues who over almost two centuries have helped educate the children of Ennis and its surrounding area. We wish every blessing on the present community of Brothers who bear witness to Edmund Rice in our midst, Brothers, Sean, Dick, Denis, Michael, and Donal.
