Today we celebrated with Fr Gerry on the golden Jubilee of his ordination. A native of the town where his parents had a shop in Abbey Street, Gerry served Mass in both the Friary and the Poor Clares.

For the past 50 years, he has given faithful service to the Diocese of Killaloe in many parishes and as Diocesan Secretary. Along with Mick Gardiner, he is the longest-serving broadcaster on Clare FM since its launch in 1989.
