Large numbers attended Masses and ceremonies in the Cathedral on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Beginning with the Bethlehem Peace Light, brought to Ennis by members of the 1st and 4th Clare Scouts on the Fourth Sunday of Advent, to the Masses of Christmas Eve and the Blessing of the Crib, to the huge numbers who attended Mass on Christmas Day in the parish. The Cathedral Folk Choir, Cathedral Junior, and Senior Choirs under the leadership of Fiona Walsh and Seanie Rutherford led the congregations in wonderful Christmas Carols.
