On Pentecost Sunday 1998 in the Cathedral of SS Peter & Paul Ennis, Bishop Willie Walsh ordained Paschal Hanrahan to the priesthood for service in the Diocese of Killaloe. Paschal, son of the late Paschal (senior) and Gertie Hanrahan, Gallows Hill, has served in Kilrush and as an army Chaplain. Currently, he is Head Chaplain of the Irish Defence Forces. He leaves on Tuesday for a tour of duty with the 122nd Infantry Battalion in Lebanon.
Prior to his departure for Lebanon, Fr Paschal gathered with his family and friends, including Bishops Fintan and Willie for a thanksgiving Mass with the Poor Clare Sisters in their Monastery Chapel to celebrate 25 years of priesthood.
We wish Fr Paschal Ad Multos Annos!
