Eucharist and First Communion
First Holy Communions takes place in May each year. As part of our preparation for First Penance and First Holy Communion, we run in tandem, a parish based programme, ‘Do this in Memory’. This programme is a continuous programme, connecting the classroom with the home and the parish. As part of the programme, there is an – Information Night, (where we meet the parents). An Enrolment Ceremony for you and your child, and there are four Sundays set aside where you and your child will have some participation in the Sunday Mass.
It is also hoped that you and your child will frequent Mass regularly, as your child prepares for this special day.

Confirmation
Confirmation usually takes place in April each year. For the Children preparing for Confirmation, there is ‘Faith Friends’, another parish based programme – linking home and parish, through a number of meetings for your child exploring the Sacrament of Confirmation, and looking forward to life after primary school.
It is hoped that you as a parent, will take an active role in helping your child prepare for the Sacrament of Confirmation, by frequenting Mass regularly and taking an active role in this special time in your child’s life.
